The Excellence in Education Foundation (EEF) was established in 1993 as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. It is an entity separate from the Charleston Unit School District System and is managed by a 12 member Board of Directors. Consolidated Communications has been our strongest financial supporter, partnering with the EEF since its inception.
To fulfill our objectives for students and teachers, the EEF award grants each spring to programs and projects that can not be implemented through regular school funding. Over the past 20 years, the EEF has awarded more than $400,000 to support the enrichment of creative /supportive classroom teaching environments and enhancement of educational opportunities for our children.
Honor a Teacher-Make a Difference Program
Thank you to all who donated to the "Honor a Teacher Program" during Make a Difference Week. Forty-three CUSD#1 teachers, administrators, coaches and other CUSD#1 employees were given a sweet treat and a handwritten thank you letter. This fundraiser netted more than $1,600 to the teacher grant fund.
We help provide excitement for students and teachers by providing books, tablets, school wide assemblies, sound equipment, and more. Teachers, do you have a great idea for a funded grant? Click below for more information.
Do you remember a time when a teacher, program, or book captured your imagination? It happens all the time in the Charleston schools and the EEF board, along witn your support, will guarntee that it will continue in the future. 100% of donations go towards EEF programs. We appreciate your support!
